Practice, Practice, Practice!!!

It's an oldie, I know, but still a goodie, and very fitting for where we are in the semester right now. It was a fantastic rehearsal the other night! I was so pleased with everyone's work and how focused you all were. But don't get cocky. Please practice. It doesn't take much time out of each day, and the results are truly worth it in the end.

Some words about practicing - let's be honest, practicing is a chore. I don't like to practice, never have. My kids hate practicing and most musicians prefer to play a concert or performance than practice (at this point I don't even like the word practice after using it so much in this blog). But everyone likes to put on a good performance. Which unfortunately cannot happen without... you know it, say it with me... PRACTICE!

(And for Melanie: I bet even the Yankees would much rather play a game than practice!)

It just simply has to be done in order to sing/play/perform well. There's no shortcut, there's no "app for that", there's no other way around it. The good news is, I know that the payoff will be tremendous, and with those awesome practice tracks provided for you here on our website, it's not even difficult to do it.

What more could you ask for?

So get practicing!!!
